At Steve Carver Counseling Services, my mission is to provide compassionate and personalized counseling services. I believe in empowering individuals to overcome challenges and achieve emotional well-being.
I have been in the counseling profession for over 23 years and have been certified since 2005. As a professional Interventionist, I use CBT, motivational interviewing, strong relapse prevention skills, group therapy and work closely with medication replacement physicians.
I am a Licensed Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (LAADC), Substance Use Professional (SAP), Intervention Specialist (IS), in good standing.
I am fully vaccinated and practice safe COVID practices when necessary.
COUNSELING SERVICES OFFERED
- I work with professionals and those who may not be so prone to outside support groups or are having difficulty with them
- I work with all primary chemical dependency clients.
- I can work with non chemical addictions as long as a primary chemical is present.
- I work closely with Department of Transportation and will do assessments and education for those clientele.
- I do Family Based Interventions .I like to work with client and families so that all can heal through the client new found sobriety.
- I work in rural areas and come to the Client.
Using reality based recovery with relapse prevention (CBT), I will meet you where you are at, even if it means Harm Reduction as a first line of treatment. I believe I have a way to use this to show a person that it is pre-contemplation that is being challenged, to see if they could very well be problematic and push through the denial.
I work with substance use clients that are chemically dependent and focus on Relapse Prevention, Harm Reduction, using CBT, REBT, Seek and Safety models.
SAP - I do Dept of Transportation Assessments with FMCSA, FRA.
IS - I will do Interventions when able or refer to known reliable interventionist if unavailable.
